Ignition returns to Estonia

Ignition returns to Estonia

The ignition team flies out to Estonia again this weekend, ready for delivery of the second tranche of training criminal justice professionals in the Strength to Change substance misuse programme.

Two weeks of training in the group version of the programme were delivered successfully before Christmas, and the focus now shifts to the one to one version.

Dr Mark Farrall, Director, commented "As we have gone on, it has become clearer just how profound an impact this work could have on the entire Estonian criminal justice system when dealing with substance misuse.  Our previous trainees have become champions of the way of working, seeing the value in a respectful, strengths-based approach to challenging offending behaviour, even where - just as in the UK - the wider system does not necessarily always support such an approach."

A new Associate, Kim Hardie, will be joining ignition to deliver this work. Dr Farrall said "It is a real challenge to find people with the right energy, intelligence, and skills to work with the company. We achieve the best results because we work with the best people, and I am very glad to see Kim coming on board. we look forward to a long association with her."
