After a comparison of several international programmes by the Estonian Centre for Applied Social Sciences and the Ministry of Justice, ignition has been invited to submit a proposal for the training of Estonian criminal justice staff in an innovative programme focussed on substance misuse.
Strength to Change (DA) has developed from ignition's extremely successful programme in the UK working with intimate partner violence and abuse, and uses the same effective blend of Motivational Interviewing as a core engagement strategy, integrated with experiential 'action' methods. ignition is an international leader in the blending of these approaches.
Dr Mark Farrall, Director, said :"The company has a long history in Estonia, having first worked there in 2003, and is proud to have had a formative influence on the development of MI in the country. Inga Karton, one of our original trainees, has been instrumental in establishing the MI network and promulgating training, including a recent international conference"
