Ignition Domestic Violence innovation helps police with enquiries

Dr Mark Farrall will meet today with Mrs Sophie Howe, Assisstant Police and Crime Commisisoner (PCC) for South Wales to discuss how Ignition's expertise can help South Wales Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner, address priority targets for domestic violence and abuse.

Ignition's track record in innovative practice around risk assessment and work with perpetrators and victims, gives the company a solid basis to help.

Domestic violence and abuse is a top agenda item for many PCCs across the country, and Micheal Howard, the South Wales PCC, is committed to tackling the issue in his crime plan for the area.

Dr Farrall said "Evidence shows that practice in the UK is still lagging behind the research, still dominated by an understanding that can lead to ineffective practice. If we want to innovate and improve services, the openess shown by Mrs Howe is crucial".
